Blackman: 'More to come'

16 January 2014

Nick confident in ability

Nick Blackman believes there's more to come from himself and the entire group as the Royals prepare for the final 21 games of the Sky Bet 2013/14 season.

"You have to keep your standards high and not let your head drop. Keeping pushing as hard as you can," said the former Sheffield Untied man.

"I’ve been settled ever since I’ve come. The main thing is, there’s a lot more to come from me so hopefully they can get more excited."

Blackman added that he has never seen an injury list as a big as this at his former clubs, but has faith in the experience and talent within the squad.

"I’ve never seen anything like this, with such key first team players out too. But we have a big squad and try and deal with it the best that we can,"

"We’re sticking together, that’s the main thing. And keep doing what we know is right. It’ll come good. Everyone has got a job to do, they’ve been in the game a long time, we’ve got quite an experienced team and you have to treat each game individually."
