Adkins on giving it everything

Manager Nigel Adkins says the Royals are going to enjoy each of their final 21 fixtures in this 2013/14 Sky Bet Championship, starting with Bolton Wanderers at home this Saturday.

The Royals go into this weekend's game after a picking up all three points and a clean sheet away at Watford, with the manager highlighting the team's togetherness and character.

"It was a good win at the weekend against Watford," he told Reading FC Player. "Everyone showed that togetherness and character. It was a good clean sheet, a good goal from a set play that we scored.

"The supporters were great, and I was really pleased for them and it showed that everyone is pulling the same direction.

"The next game now is at home to Bolton Wanderers - it seems a long time ago but we did well up there at the start of the season and were unfortunate not to win. We look forward to welcoming them to our stadium."

The boss also hailed our fantastic away supporters at Vicarage Road last Saturday, and is anticipating an exciting last stretch of the campaign.

"We got off to a good start at Watford and the supporters really lifted the players all the way through. There's 21 games to go, everyone's going to be pulling in the same direction and it's going to be very exciting.

"We in a position in the division that gives ourselves an opportunity for this season. We're going to enjoy every single one of them, and give it everything we've got."
