Barton Rovers receive accolade

One of our Academy Partner Clubs Barton Rovers were invited to take part in a special pitch side presentation at the Reading FC v Nottingham Forest FC fixture.

They came to celebrate the recent award of FA Charter Standard Community Club status – a fantastic accolade and the highest possible accreditation a grassroots club can receive.

This demonstrates the club has a high-quality, multi-team set-up with a clear development pathway and excellent social, training and playing opportunities for all.  It shows Barton Rovers has the necessary infrastructure to provide a great environment for football development.

They were joined by MP for Reading West, Alok Sharma, who presented a commemorative plaque to John White and Sandy Kapila from Barton Rovers.

Elsewhere, after attending the Fun Zone youngsters at Curley Park Rangers were lucky enough to meet Chairman at the First Stop bus launch for a photo.

Marc Decelis coach of the team said "The kids had a fantastic day, even the weather couldn’t take the smiles of their faces"
