Injury update from Hogwood Park
Nigel Adkins has revealed that Hal Robson-Kanu should travel with the Royals squad as they take on Ipswich Town this Saturday.
The forward has been sidelined with a calf injury in recent weeks, but has stepped up his training and will make the trip to Portman Road at the weekend.
"Hal joined us in training last week and has done a bit more in the last few days, so he should be available for selection," said Nigel Adkins.
The Reading boss also revealed that Danny Guthrie will miss the clash with the Tractor Boys, whilst both Wayne Bridge and Sean Morrison have made good progress in their respective recoveries from long term injuries, though are still a little way away from first team action.
Elsewhere - Academy product Dominic Samuel has unfortunately had to cut short his loan spell at Dagenham and Redbridge after picking up a knee injury just 40 minutes into his Daggers debut.
The striker successfully underwent surgery to repair the damage, and is likely to be out of action for a good few weeks as he undergoes rehabilitation.
Defender Jake Cooper, another product of our youth system, has also been in the treatment room this year after suffering a broken foot in December - but should be back in action shortly after working hard behind the scenes to bolster his recovery.
