Jobi closest to return

8 January 2014

McAnuff may face Hornets

Of our injured players, Jobi McAnuff is the closest to a return and he may be fit to face his former club Watford this weekend.

McAnuff missed the Forest League game and the Brighton FA Cup tie with a foot problem, and will aim to train fully this week with hopes of playing at Vicarage Road.

Hal Robson-Kanu is a little further away with a calf injury, while Chris Baird injured his ankle again just before the Forest game. Nick Blackman came off during the Brighton game with an injury.

Nigel Adkins said recently that Sean Morrison, Wayne Bridge and Mikele Leigertwood could return around the turn of the month, and Morrison - 23 today - tweeted this week to say he's back jogging outside after rehabbing in the gym.

Jason Roberts continues to rehab from a hip problem, while Jem Karacan is out for the remainder of this season.

Defender Michael Hector is back training with us after a loan spell at Aberdeen, and we had a number of youngsters on the bench in recent weeks - defenders Sean Long, Pierce Sweeney and Niall Keown, as well as forward Craig Tanner.
