Royals put seven past BoltonReading 7 (Le Fondre 12, 28, 33, Pogrebnyak 41, Gorkss 60, Akpan 74, Blackman 78)
Reading put seven goals past Bolton Wanderers for one of our biggest ever wins at Madejski Stadium.
Adam Le Fondre got a first half hat-trick and Pavel Pogrebnyak notched a penalty to make it 4-0 by half time, then Kaspars Gorkss, Hope Akpan and Nick Blackman turned the screw before a late David Ngog consolation.
It was a quite incredible day at the home of the Royals, and as soon as Adam Le Fondre lashed home a great finish on 12 minutes, we never looked back. The frontman then went through one-on-one to make it two, and had his third on 33 from unselfish play by Garath McCleary - the first Reading hat-trick since Kevin Doyle way back in 2008.
Alfie then graciously allowed Pogrebnyak to hammer home a spot kick before the break, and it was five on the hour with a nice Kaspars Gorkss finish, his second in two games.
Hope Akpan was a delighted scorer of our sixth, and then Nick Blackman got his first Madejski Stadium goal to make it 7-0 after seven shots on target.
There was a home debut for Michael Hector before David Ngog scrambled a late consolation, but it made no odds as we celebrated seven goals at Madejski Stadium for the first time ever.
