Most goals at home!

29 January 2014

Madejski Stadium is the place to be

After two emphatic Madejski Stadium victories, the Royals have scored more home goals than any other side in the Championship so far this season.

Madejski Stadium has recently witnessed a 7-1 home win over Bolton and a 5-1 Royals victory against Blackpool on Tuesday night, and those two victories have taken our home goal tally to 30 - once more than league leaders Leicester City.

Both Nottingham Forest, Brighton and Wigan Athletic have one home game in hand on Nigel Adkins' men, but they would have to score very heavily to even trouble table-topping Reading's record so far.

Reading 30 goals
Leicester City 29 goals
Derby County 27 goals
Ipswich Town 23 goals
Middlesbrough 23 goals
Huddersfield Town 23 goals
Burnley 22 goals
Nottingham Forest 22 goals
Sheffield Wednesday 22 goals
Leeds United 21 goals
QPR 20 goals
Brighton 19 goals
Blackburn Rovers 19 goals
Wigan Athletic 19 goals
Bournemouth 19 goals
Millwall 18 goals
Watford 17 goals
Doncaster Rovers 17 goals
Birmingham City 16 goals
Bolton Wanderers 16 goals
Barnsley 16 goals
Blackpool 14 goals
Charlton Athletic 11 goals
Yeovil Town 8 goals

Only Pride Park has seen more Championship goals scored so far this season, 47 flying in in the 14 games at Derby this season compared to Madejski Stadium's 44 in total.

And the Royals have the joint best home goal difference in the division, level with Leicester on +16 so far in 2013-14.

So for the entertainment factor, don't miss the next one at Madejski Stadium!
