Striker with Southampton
Striker Billy Sharp has returned to Southampton at the end of his initial loan deal with the Royals.
We will hold discussions with his parent club in the next week or so to understand what their thoughts are.
Meanwhile, Michael Hector returns from Aberdeen early next week; his final game for the Dons is this coming Sunday. He is therefore due to be back in training with the Royals next Tuesday.
Lawson D'Ath has extended his loan at Dagenham & Redbridge, while Gozie Ugwu, Jon Henly and Shepherd Murombedzi are today back at Madejski Stadium following loan spells.
20-year-old striker Ugwu played seven times for Shrewsbury, while Henly got the same number of games in goal for the Shots. Murombedzi made three starts for Bognor Regis Town.
Young keeper Dan Lincoln and defender Matt Partridge have signed loans with Farnborough and Basingstoke respectively, and were due to play each other on New Year's Day but the game was called off.
Mikkel Andersen is in Denmark with Randers and is currently on a winter break, as is Daniel Carrico in Spain with Sevilla. Ryan Edwards continues to ply his trade with Perth Glory back in his native Australia.
