Gorkss on building momentum
Kaspars Gorkss says the Royals are playing with smiles on their faces after two huge wins at Madejski Stadium.
The Latvian skipper is pleased with the improvement in form, and believes building momentum for the final stretch of this 2013/14 Sky Bet Championship season is key.
"I can’t remember ever playing for a side that scored that many in two consecutive home games," he said. "We just need to build up momentum for the final push and we’ll see where it takes us.
"Confidence is a big factor in factor, just before the New Year we had a lull and didn’t look that convincing, now we’re scoring goals, we’re smiling and we’re enjoying ourselves. Football is a funny game and it changes very quickly."
With a trip to Millwall on the horizon this Saturday, Kaspars says that Nigel Adkins' men must take bring their dominant home displays with them on the road.
"It was another great home win for us, we managed to score a load of goals – now we need to keep going and try to get some points away as well now," he added.
"It’s a very important thing in the Championship to get a couple of wins on the bounce, we’ve scored a lot of goals at home, Alfie has been absolutely on fire – so now we need to do the same away from home."
