Reading XI travel to Meadow ParkAcademy Manager Eamonn Dolan has expressed his delight at the upcoming friendly clash with Boreham Wood, set to take place at Meadow Park this Friday (KO 7.30pm).
A Reading XI side, including players who have been part of the Royals first team training camp will travel to take on the Conference South outfit - giving supporters a chance to see back to back days of football ahead of a clash with Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday at Adams Park.
"I'm really looking forward to enhancing our excellent link with Boreham Wood on Friday - over the last couple of years through a connection from David Dodds (Assistant Academy Manager) and Danny Hunter (Boreham Wood Chairman) we have developed a really good working partnership and thus we are looking forward to sending first team squad players down to there on Friday," said Eamonn.
"It's not just a great game for the players but a good opportunity for our fans this weekend to come and have a look at the young squad that the gaffer is building. I have happy memories of Boreham Wood as that's where we beat Arsenal last season to get to the U21s Cup Final - and on a personal level, whenever you see Danny and their gaffer Ian Allinson you know that you'll get a real warm welcome. It's a really good game for the Reading fans as well. They'll be treated well at Meadow Park."
Tickets will be available on the night at the ground.
