Kirby in England squad

10 July 2014

Fran hopes for Three Lions debut

Reading FC Women's star Fran Kirby has once again been named in the England squad ahead of a friendly clash with Sweden next month.

Kirby, who has 13 goals in 11 games in the Women's Super League Two this season - has been named in recent international squads by Head Coach Mark Sampson, though is still awaiting her Three Lions debut.

England play the Swedes in Hartlepool on 3rd August ahead of a vital World Cup Qualifying clash with Wales 18 days later, as they strive to make next year's tournament in Canada.

A 2-1 win in Ukraine in June means that England require just a draw from their final two group games.

Fran once again starred for the Royals last weekend in an 8-1 win over the London Bees.
