Tanner's skill video; he plays tonight

29 July 2014

Reading XI at Hemel Hempstead

Reading's Under 21s play at Hemel Hempstead tonight, and a number of young players who have been training with our first team will get the chance to play 90 minutes.

Craig Tanner was impressive as a late sub at Wycombe on Saturday, catching the eye with some very neat skill - see our Vine video further down this story - and he will line up in an attacking role alongside Dominic Samuel, who played for our first team in the Barclays Premier League.

Midfielders Aaron Tshibola, Aaron Kuhl, Liam Kelly and Tariqe Fosu all helped our U21s to Premier League Cup glory last season, as did Sean Long, Shane Griffin, Pierce Sweeney, Jake Cooper and keeper Dan Lincoln.

The squad will also include the likes of Estonian striker Bogdan Vastsuk, Icelander Sammi Fridjonsson, American Alexs Gogic, Irishman Conor Shaughnessy. and recently-signed pros George McClennan, Nana Owusu and Rob Dickie.

Entry is £5 adults, £3 concessions (OAP/students) and £1 for U16. Parking is free at the stadium.
