Enjoy fantastic Simod memories

Thursday marks the 26th anniversary of Reading Football Club's fantastic 4-1 win in the Simod Cup Final.

On March 27th 1988, in front of 45,000 Royals fans, goals from Michael Gilkes, Stuart Beavon, Mick Tait and Neil Smillie gave Ian Branfoot's men a 4-1 victory over Luton Town at Wembley.

It was the last in a long line of memorable scalps in that run, that included rivals Oxford United and Brian Clough's Nottingham Forest.

An afternoon never to be forgotten!
