Reading: Nigel Adkins is expected to again be without Danny Williams and Sean Morrison, though the latter played in an U21s game last night. Wayne Bridge, Jem Karacan and Mikele Leigertwood remain sidelined. Danny Guthrie will be unavailable as he is suspended for two fixtures after picking up his tenth booking of the season away at Birmingham on Saturday.

Barnsley: Defender Peter Ramage will play no part and is out for at least three weeks with a hamstring injury. Jean Yves Mvoto is expected to start in Ramage's absence, while fellow defender Martin Cranie remains sidelined with his own hamstring strain.
