Kelly hits a hat-trick!

11 March 2014

Royals U18s 4-1 Norwich U18s

The Royals under-18s warmed up for Wednesday night's FA Youth Cup clash against Liverpool in fine fashion, as they beat Norwich City 4-1 at Hogwood Park last Saturday.

Liam Kelly set one up and scored a hat-trick, as last season's Youth Cup winners were well beaten in this league encounter.

Defender Dominic Hyam got on the end of a Kelly delivery, and put the Royals ahead with a diving header after just 15 minutes.

On the half hour mark, the Canaries were level as Rhys Browne converted a spot-kick.

But Kelly scored shortly before and after half time to give Reading the upper hand, before completing his hat-trick late on.

It was an impressive 4-1 victory for the Royals, who now focus on Wednesday night's quarter-final against Liverpool.
