Hector on central midfield roleMichael Hector said it was no problem for him playing in central midfield against Huddersfield at the weekend, a position he has previously played in.
The 21-year-old has been selected further forward a number of times whilst out on loan, noticeably for Aberdeen away at Celtic Park, and Hector was pleased to showcase his versatility at Madejski Stadium.
"It's a different position, but the manager believes in me and that I can play there which is good," he told BBC Radio Berkshire.
"I've done it before on previously loans spells, like for Aberdeen away at Celtic - it's a good experience."
On the 1-1 draw with the Terriers, Michael says on another day the Royals could have taken all three points and praised the supporters for their patience.
"We created enough chances to win the game. Alex (McCarthy) played well and kept us in the game at times but we could have won it ourselves.
"They (Huddersfield) have a good team, they pass it well - with three in central midfield against me and Danny Williams was tough but I think we dealt with it well.
"During the game the fans were patient, the players worked hard but it just wasn't quite our day. We had chances but we didn't quite take them."
