Morro could play this week

Injury update from the boss

Nigel Adkins said Sean Morrison could play in a behind-closed-doors fixture this coming week.

The defender has been out of action since mid-November with a knee injury, and may play some part in a friendly match for our reserves, all being well.

Adkins told Reading FC Player after the Derby game, "We've got a full week on the training ground now, which is important.

"Hopefully we'll get a game for some of the lads and hopefully Sean Morrison can get a bit of game time, which is important.

"We're trying to get him back in the fold, like all clubs you want everybody available, and the players are working very hard."

Hal Robson-Kanu came off against the Rams in the first half, and the boss said, "It's a shame we lost Hal, he's got a hamstring injury of some kind, it just underlines the demands placed upon players with games so close together.

"I don't know a prognosis at this moment, but it was a shame because he's been in good form."

Meanwhile, the boss confirmed Pavel Pogrebnyak was not fully fit but he chose to have him on the bench in case of emergencies.
