U21s semi-final Saturday

14 March 2014

Youngsters face Arsenal in last four

Royals under-21s will take on Arsenal this Saturday, with a place in the Barclays Premier League final at stake.

The game kicks off at Boreham Wood FC at 3pm, with the Royals looking to reach the final stage of the inaugural competition where they would play either Manchester City or Burnley.

Martin Kuhl's men have earned the right to play in the semi-finals after beating Queen's Park Rangers, Watford and Wolverhampton Wanderers in previous rounds.

Our youngsters will also take confidence from the fact that they recently beat the Gunners U21s 2-1 at Madejski Stadium, thanks to goals from Craig Tanner and Aaron Tshibola.

Not only that, but our entire youth set up will be buoyed by Wednesday night's dramatic FA Youth Cup quarter-final penalty shoot-out victory over Liverpool.

With the first-team's fixture against Derby County being played at the same time, we will aim to bring you half-time and full-time updates on our Twitter feed @ReadingFC.
