Guthrie praises team after winDanny Guthrie believes the Royals showed exactly what they're made of after an excellent 4-2 win away at Leeds United.
The midfielder hailed the group after a performance of high quality attacking football mixed with grit and determination to ensure the victory.
"We had a really good first half and a great start to the second half," said the former Newcastle man. "We were disappointed to concede and to concede so quickly again which made it a difficult end.
"But listen, we defended like men and we saw the game out. Confidence will be high now after that result.
"We showed two sides of what we're about - a really good footballing side but when we had to dig in, we did.
Guthrie was also pleased with his individual display after a spell on the sidelines with a calf injury, and believes that the Royals will be even stronger when the likes of Wayne Bridge and Sean Morrison return from their lay-offs.
"I'm pleased with my form, I've had to be patient for a couple of weeks but I've worked hard," he added.
"It will be a massive boost for us when we get key players back. We've had injuries at crucial times this year and for long periods.
"We've set ourselves up nicely now with a good win. We've got a home game on Saturday and it's important we recover well now."
