Royals ladies take on Oxford

Oxford Ladies v Reading FC Women
Sunday 25th May, 2pm kick off
Abingdon United FC

There's a crunch derby for Reading FC Women this weekend - as they take on Oxford United in the FA Women's Super League Two!

The Royals are fresh off the back of a fantastic series of victories, including a 2-0 win over Arsenal in the Continental Cup and a 4-0 demolition of Durham.

There was more good news in the week as striker Fran Kirby, who has bagged ten goals in nine games, earned a call up to the England national side - so plenty for fans to come down and cheer!

“Oxford will be a threat and it’s difficult for us to say that we are going there and will win," said Kirby. “As a striker I’m scoring at the moment and that’s crucial because with any striker when you’re scoring you confidence is through the roof. We don’t want to be complacent going there though and we will give them the respect they deserve. “It’s a bit of a derby and the girls all know each other so I think it will be an exciting game.”

The clash takes place at Abbingdon United FC on Sunday (Post Code OX14 1PL) and fans can pay on the day - with tickets £5 for adults and £2 for concessions (U16s & Over 65s).
