Back the #BidToRemember armband campaign

7 November 2014

Royals fans can back the #BidToRemember campaign as Sky Bet, the title sponsor of The Football League, are giving amateur footballers and fans the opportunity to proudly sport a Poppy Armband during the Remembrance Weekend football fixtures.

The Poppy Armbands are free to collect at Goals Soccer Centres across England.

Footballers and fans alike are encouraged to take a selfie wearing their armbands and tweet it using the hashtag #BidToRemember to show their support for the cause.

The #BidToRemember campaign is a joint Sky Bet and Royal British Legion initiative aimed at raising funds and awareness for The Poppy Appeal.

During this weekend’s Sky Bet Championship fixtures, all players will wear a poppy on their chest, and a plain black armband on their sleeve, as a mark of respect for those who have lost their lives serving their country.

The Poppy Shirts will be signed by the players who wear them and will be auctioned off in aid of the #BidToRemember cause. Click here for the full story.

To join the campaign and pick up a limited edition #BidToRemember armband, go to your local Goals Soccer Centre.

All lots will be going live on Sky Bet’s eBay shop between Saturday November 8 and Monday November 10. To register your interest in the signed shirt auction, please visit:
