Jamaica draw Argentina in Copa America
Garath McCleary and Shaun Cummings could come up against Lionel Messi’s Argentina next year, following the draw for next summer’s Copa America.
Jamaica, who the duo both represent, have been drawn to face the Argentinians, Uruguay and Paraguay in an exceptionally tough-looking Group B.
Group A sees hosts Chile come up against Mexico, Ecuador and Bolivia, while in Group C Brazil will take on Colombia, Peru and Venezuela.
The Reggae Boyz were invited to take part in the tournament and, in doing so, will become the first Caribbean nation to compete in the Copa America.
The showpiece, which will be hosted across eight Chilean cities, runs from June 11th of next year until July 4th. Jamaica recently won the CFU Caribbean Cup in Montego Bay, where they overcame Trinidad and Tobago 4-3 on penalties.
