Royals stars play their partA number of Royals stars have visited the local community in the last fortnight - here's a round up of what our squad have been up to away from the training ground...
Aaron & Jake Visit the YMCA
Aaron Kuhl and Jake Taylor attended a mental health coaching course at the Reading YMCA. After travelling back from our draw with Leeds United, the duo headed to Prospect Park to take a look at one of our Community Trust's weekly sessions. For more details on the fantastic disability work the Reading FC Community Trust undertake, please contact Dan Rook on 0118 907 2160 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Back to School For Cooper!
Our towering young centre back Jake Cooper is a local boy - and went back to his roots as he visited The Forest School for their annual Open Day. A former pupil, the defender is a product of the partnership between the school and the football club, which sees Academy players continue their education whilst also maintaining their footballing development. 'Coops' was able to see some familiar faces throughout the evening, most notably his former teachers and fellow pupils. He even presented them with a Royals match worn shirt from what has become his breakthrough season. For details of the partnership between the Royals and the Forest School click here.
Duo at Daneshill
Ryan Edwards and Community Trust Education Ambassador Chris Gunter recently visited Daneshill School in Hook to observe more of our Community Trust run coaching sessions. The kids quizzed the duo on a whole range of topics associated with their football careers to date, before Chris and Ryan gave out a selection of signed programmes to each of the youngsters in attendance.
