Duo react to Elland Road draw

2 October 2014

Cox & Obita on a frustrating evening

Jordan Obita and Simon Cox both gave their verdicts to the press following Wednesday evening's goalless draw with Leeds United.

Manager Nigel Adkins expressed his frustration that his side didn't pick up all three points on the night, despite a solid display in Yorkshire.

Jordan Obita
"It was a frustrating game, we felt we should have had a couple of penalties but the referee didn't give them. We had a couple of chances to score but didn't take them - now we have a good game on Saturday to look forward to. I feel fresh for every game, I try my best and the team try our best too. We need to get a win to climb up the table but every team is a danger, Brentford are a good side, they beat Leeds, but then we should have beat them too.@

Simon Cox
"We were able to keep the ball across the back quite comfortably, but they put two sitting midfield players in to block the lines between midfield and defence and that made it difficult to make penetrative passes. But we put some good balls in the box and that's where myself and Glenn need to get on the end of them. That said it's a good point away from home and we go again. Brentford are another team who have come away from League One and done very well.@
