England international Fran in ShinfieldReading FC Women's star Fran Kirby paid a special visit to a local school recently, to show her support to grassroots football.
The Shinfield Tournament is organised by Matt Lappin, recently voted as Reading's Sports Teacher of the Year, and nine teams in total were present.
Prolific striker Kirby, who has an astonishing 28 goals in 21 games in the Women's Super League Two (13 more than any other player in the country!) was an interested spectator - and posed for photos as well as signing plenty of autographs!
Mascot Kingsley was also present, helping the England international to hand out trophies to Loddon Primary School - who ran out winners of both the girls and boys cups on the day.
