Duo keen to continue run

Norwood and Gunter preview Millwall

Oliver Norwood says he feels like he's been at Madejski Stadium for a long time after settling in very well following his summer move from Huddersfield Town.

Norwood was exceptional in central midfield during Saturday's win over Fulham, the 23-year-old's first start at the home of the Royals.

"There was plenty of space out there, and I really enjoyed my home debut," he said. "The fans were brilliant, and we've got to get the fans of their seats - it's up to us to get them to cheer us on. They really got behind us on Saturday and it was a fantastic win.

"It's an old cliché but there's a fantastic dressing room here. It was very easy to settle in, and I feel like I've been here a long time already. The lads are great.

"We need to keep going and keep performing. We haven't conceded a goal for a while and we're not planning on doing so on Tuesday night either."

Meanwhile, Chris Gunter believes the Royals will only get stronger now, and says the side must back up last weekend's win with another against Millwall tonight.

"It was a great all-round team performance from us on Saturday. The new boys have come in and settled really well on and off the pitch, which is a big credit to them and the whole squad. Every time they have played, they've contributed massively.

"We are only going to get stronger now - hopefully we've overcome the worst of our injuries.

"We've got some good results in the league and cup. It's a tough spell for us now but that's what this league is about. It's a good chance when you're on a good run to put points together quickly and get up the table.

"It's important to back a good win up. We didn't do that after the Ipswich win and it's vital that we focus on the game and get three league wins a row."
