Federici injury 'hopefully minor'

Keeper sits out Wednesday game

Manager Nigel Adkins says that Adam Federici's calf injury is hopefully minor.

The keeper sat out our game at Sheffield Wednesday, having felt the problem in training 24 hours earlier.

The boss said, "Feds felt his calf a little bit - we had to make a call, and all being well it'll be a minor thing and we have prevented it becoming major.

Michael Hector was also ruled out, having suffered a head injury against Millwall.

"Michael picked up a head injury in midweek and the doctor has had to make a call on that, the protocols are in place and we have to abide by that.

"Because we have the players we have, we don't have to take a risk."

He continued, "Thankfully we got Danny Guthrie some time on the pitch late on, and it's good to have options from the bench like Pogrebnyak and Mackie which we've not had for a while."

The boss also said Stephen Kelly is likely to play for our Under 21s on Monday, while Hal Robson-Kanu has a chance of playing against Derby on Tuesday but a decision has not yet been made.
