Adkins hails Cox strike
Manager Nigel Adkins was absolutely delighted with a quality team goal in Saturday's 1-0 win at Middlesbrough.
It was a lovely passing move with Oliver Norwood, Aaron Kuhl, Chris Gunter and Ryan Edwards all combining to allow Simon Cox the chance to score with a wonderful lob.
The goal gave the Royals a first away League win of the season, and made it back-to-back 1-0 victories after the cup win at Scunthorpe
Adkins, "We scored a super goal, great finish by Simon Cox. I want us to play football and we cut through them like a knife through butter.
"It was also great composure by Coxy for the finish.
"Scoring first is so important and it was a super footballing goal.
"That gave us something to hold onto, and late in the game Feds has not had too many saves to make when you look into it.
"A young side came away to an excellent side and had to show real character. I think we had seven Academy players on the pitch at the end of the game so it was an excellent victory."
