Murray excited by Royals squad

5 September 2014

Glenn pleased to join Reading

Striker Glenn Murray said that his decision to join the Royals on loan was made as soon as he knew the Club were interested in signing him.

Murray has arrived from Crystal Palace and had his first day at Hogwood Park on Thursday, meeting his new teammates after putting pen to paper on a loan deal until 1st January.
"It feels good to be here," Glenn told Reading FC Player. "I enjoyed my first day down at the training ground on Thursday and was very impressed by the place.

"It was a stressful day on Monday, but when I woke up on Tuesday I felt really good about the decision. It was all done quite late on the Monday, but once I knew that Reading were interested I was happy to come and join."

Glenn, who will wear the number 20 shirt, was impressed with a number of things at the Club including the number of talented young players in and around the first team.

"I've heard about the young up-and-coming talent at the club which is very exciting," the former Brighton man added.

"The Club has been in the Premier League not too long ago which is good, and I know there is an ambition to get back there."
