New signing bedding inOliver Norwood says he has been immediately struck by the spirit within Nigel Adkins' squad, after making his full debut in the 1-0 win over Middlesbrough.
The former Manchester United man played alongside youngster Aaron Kuhl in the centre of Reading's midfield at the Riverside - as the Royals showed both sides of their game to pick up all three points.
"I enjoyed it, I was looking forward to it all week. It was great to get out there and be amongst the lads. The spirit is fantastic, and you could see that we wanted to win for each other," said the 23-year-old.
"They are the sort of big performances you need in the Championship. We were under the cosh a bit at times, Feds made a couple of saves for us and it was a great battling performance and is what this league is all about. It was a great goal too! It's the sort of thing we work on in training, and Cox's finish was of a different class and it gave us something to hang onto for the rest of the game."
