Taylor aims to continue form

Jake on Fulham clash

Jake Taylor is relishing this Saturday's Madejski Stadium clash with Fulham, fresh off the back of his first senior Wales call up.

The Royals Academy graduate was involved with Chris Coleman's squad for the first time as they travelled to Andorra for their opening Euro 2016 victory, and Jake said it was a worthwhile experience being amongst the likes of Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey.

"It was a great experience to be called up to the senior squad and to be involved with a lot of great players. It's something I'm going to learn a lot from," he told Reading FC Player.

"I knew Churchy (Simon Church) and a few of the players who have progressed from Wales U21s. Obviously Gunter was there too, who helped me settle into the squad. We've got a great squad and a really good chance of qualifying - hopefully we can do that."

Now back with the Royals from the international break, Taylor is anticipating an interesting test this weekend against the recently relegated Cottagers.

"Fulham at home will be a good game for us - hopefully we can get a good crowd. They haven't had the best start but they are a team with some great players who will be towards the top at the end of the season.

"It's difficult to go to places like Scunthorpe and Middlesbrough but we came away with two good victories, and we'll aim to get another on Saturday."
