Team News - Andersen makes debut

20 September 2014

Federici and Hector ruled out

A calf injury to Adam Federici means Mikkel Andersen will make his Royals debut between the posts at Hillsborough this afternoon.
The 25-year-old stopper has been at the club since signing for the Royals back in January 2007, but these will be his first minutes in a Reading shirt after a number of loan spells most notably at Bristol Rovers, Portsmouth and Danish side Randers.

Michael Hector also misses out with a head injury picked up in Tuesday's win, so young centre-back Jake Cooper will make his first league start in professional football today.

Jake Taylor comes into the starting line up, with Jamie Mackie dropping to the bench as Nigel Adkins makes a total of three changes to the side that beat Millwall at Madejski Stadium in midweek.

Danny Guthrie returns from injury to take a place on the substitutes' bench, while young goalkeeper Dan Lincoln is named on the bench for the first time.

.Besides Federici and Hector's absence, the Royals remain without the injured Stephen Kelly, Anton Ferdinand, Garath McCleary, Danny Williams, Shaun Cummings, Aaron Tshibola, Jem Karacan and Craig Tanner
