Striker bags a braceRoyals striker Harry Cardwell scored a brace for Scotland U19s as they drew 2-2 with Czech Republic in an International Challenge Match on Tuesday evening.
The 17-year-old was in fire in the first half, and put the hosts ahead at Cappielow in the 19th minute. Cardwell met Connor McManus's cross with a glancing header to beat Czech goalkeeper Vojtech Vorel.
Cardwell added a second as Ricky Sbraigia's men doubled their lead shortly before half time. The Scots took advantage of a defensive error, and our young forward raced towards goal and slotted the ball into the bottom corner.
Czech Republic pulled one back four minutes later, before Cardwell and seven other outfield Scotland players were substituted. In Cardwell's absence, the visitors equalised with the game ending 2-2.
Cardwell and Scotland then drew 0-0 in Thursday's friendly with Switzerland,
