30,000 t-shirts to paint Wembley blue and white

16 April 2015

Fantastic semi-final sight in store

Steve Clarke's Royals will have a sight to behold as they walk out at Wembley this weekend, as Reading fans are gifted 30,000 t-shirts to display a majestic hooped mosaic to a worldwide audience.

As the players themselves make history in the club's first FA Cup semi-final in 88 years, we are calling on fans to bedeck ‘The Home of Football’ in blue and white and take part in a ‘T-Shirt Mosaic’ throughout the day.

You may remember the ‘Raise the Hoops’ display at the end of the 2005/06 season created one of the most iconic images in the Royals’ history, and we’re calling on you to go one better this time around with the display lasting throughout the whole match.

We have split both the lower and upper tiers in half to create four hoops from top to bottom, with the lower half of each tier sporting the famous royal blue colour that we are known for. The Royals are set to become the first Club to carry out such a display at the New Wembley.

Your t-shirt will be on your seat and waiting for you once you have entered the stadium bowl, so make sure you put that on in plenty of time and show your true colours for the evening.

Whether you end up being a blue or a white, make sure you give the Royals your full backing as the team strive to make our first FA Cup Final in our history!

Not got your tickets yet? It’s not too late to get your hands on a seat for Saturday and join our hooped army! All fans with 10+ Royalty points can purchase tickets, full ticketing details can be found here.
