Player of the Season to be presented after Brentford game

24 April 2015

Squad to thanks fans with lap of appreciation after full time

We woule like to encourage all Royals supporters to remain in their seats after the full time whistle at tomorrow's game against Brentford in order to see the presentation of the Official Fans’ Player of the Season award.

A shortlist of three will be revealed on the cover of tomorrow’s matchday programme, with the victor set to receive their accolade after tomorrow’s clash with the Bees has come to an end.

After the winner has been announced, the first team squad will then embark on a lap of appreciation around Madejski Stadium to say thank to the supporters for their fantastic support this season.

Departures of the Madejski Stadium bus services will be held for an additional 15 minutes to allow all our fans to stay behind for the post-match presentation and subsquent lap of appreciation.

At the blast of tomorrow’s full-time whistle, fans that follow the club both home and away will have taken in a maximum of 53 games in the 2014-15 season, and that figure will reach 55 by the time the campaign concludes at Derby County next weekend.

Any supporter that has attended every away fixture this season will have racked up more than 8,000 miles since August, and the players, coaching staff and management team would like to show their gratitude to the fans for your efforts.

We would like to remind all supporters that the players may not be able to partake in the end of season lap of appreciation in the event of any pitch incursions, so please remain in your seats after the final whistle to allow the presentations to take place.
