Team News: Ake to make Royals debut for Cardiff clash

Two changes for Reading

Nathan Ake will make his Reading debut in this afternoon's Championship clash with Cardiff City at Madejski Stadium.

The Chelsea loanee will occupy the centre of midfield alongside Hope Akpan, as the Royals make two changes from our last outing against Charlton.

Other new signing Kwesi Appiah takes his place amongst the substitutes bench.

Danny Williams misses out through suspension, while Nathaniel Chalobah, Simon Cox, Jure Travner, Stephen Kelly and Anton Ferdinand are all sidelined through injury.

Reading: Federici, Gunter, Obita, Pearce (c), Hector, Ake, Akpan, McCleary, Robson-Kanu, Mackie, Pogrebnyak.
Subs: Andersen, Knight, Karacan, Norwood, Blackman, Appiah, Yakubu.

Cardiff City: Marshall (c), Peltier, Fabio, Morrison, Ecuele-Manga, Whittingham, Gunnarsson, Ralls, Noone, Doyle, McAleny.
Subs: Moore, Malone, Gabbidon, Adeyemi, O'Keefe, Kennedy, Mason.
