Pre-match chat
Royals defender Andrew Taylor: "We've got a big game at home on Saturday where we will be looking to get all three points. I think we could have won by two or three on Wednesday, so we’ve got to dust ourselves down and go again.

"We defended well right from the front, the midfield, the back four and the lads that came on, everyone did their job and we were comfortable. We attack together and we defend together and I think that type of attitude will see us go a long way this season.”

MK Dons Manager Karl Robinson: “Reading have a talented group of players and a strong squad, there will be a lot of fans attending there and they have a really good manager, it’s going to be a tall order for us to go there and get a result.

"We’ve got to go to the Madejski with excitement and confidence and not get overawed. We will have to make sure we manage our game plan right if we want to get anything out of Saturday.”

Match Officials
David Coote will be refereeing Saturdays game, having officiated MK Dons once last season in an away draw at Preston North End. The last time Coote took charge of a Reading game was back in February 2014 in a 3-1 away victory for the Royals at QPR.

The Nottinghamshire-born official oversaw a 0-0 draw on Tuesday in the Sky Bet Championship clash between Rotherham and Preston and will have Robert Mackay and Paul Hobday running the lines on Saturday with Ian Smedley as fourth official.

The Programme
This weekend’s issue of The Royal features an exclusive interview with new captain Paul McShane, who speaks candidly about his career to date, his captaincy style, his Republic of Ireland ambitions and what he wants to achieve with the Royals.

We have a 13-page feature on our Community Trust work as this fixture has been designated as the match which will help raise awareness of all the hard work that goes on in the local community on a daily basis, but which so often goes unsung.

“We move on to today’s game in search of the win that will, I’m sure, be the first of many this season,” writes the manager in his notes for the game.

And we remember a massive 5-0 romp against Millwall, ten years ago, in two features that continue to celebrate our record-breaking 106 season.

The programme also includes all the information on the MK Dons as we prepare to take them on competitively for the first time in the club’s history, and there are quiz questions, historical flashbacks, all the ticket news and notes from our Supporters Trust. Don’t miss your copy!

What are the odds?
Reading are home favourites at 6/5 for three points with Football League title partners Sky Bet.  A draw is 9/4 and an away win for the Dons is 23/10.

Orlando Sa is 2/1 to net his first goal in a Royals shirt at any time, and if you think Danny Williams score in back-to-back games, you can get odds of 11/4.

Thanks to our official pouring rights partners, Heineken, Royals fans can enjoy a beverage at our Royals Rendezvous before the game which is open again on Saturday following last week’s success. Located outside the East Stand the new area is an ideal place to catch up and enjoy a drink with fellow fans before the action kicks off.
