Midfielder assesses draw with DonsRoyals midfielder Aaron Tshibola felt that getting all three points against MK Dons on Saturday would have been a just reward for another dominant display – and despite it ending goalless, he was upbeat about the side’s performance.
Reading fired 20 shots at goal – forcing Dons stopper David Martin into some inspired saves – whilst limiting their visitors to just three wayward attempts. The midfielder felt that the Royals will convert their performances into wins if they continue to outperform their opponents.
“It was another good performance and we can take a lot of positives from the game,” said Tshibola. “If we keep playing like that, the results will come. I remember giving a similar interview after the game against Birmingham – it’s about luck really. Once we get that luck on our side, the results will start coming our way.
“We have to give credit to MK Dons, because it’s not easy to come from a league below and play as well as they did. But we felt that we were the stronger side and that we deserved more from the game.”
The 20-year-old has been involved in all of Reading’s games so far in 2015-16 since returning from his loan spell with League 2 side Hartlepool. And he is just enjoying the opportunity to contribute for the Reading team.
“I’m enjoying it – it’s all part of my learning curve,” he continued. “I’ll keep working hard and hopefully I can keep on going. We’re all a team and we all support each other, and whoever the gaffer picks, I’m sure we’ll all give 100 per cent.”
