Defender Jake pops into Community Trust Soccer School

30 December 2015

Centre-half visits aspiring youngsters

Just before Christmas, Royals centre-back Jake Cooper made a surprise visit to Goals in Woodley to meet the aspiring young players that were taking part in a Soccer School, run by Reading FC Community Trust.

The Community Trust run Soccer Schools around Reading and Berkshire for boys and girls aged 5 to 14 of all abilities during school holidays.  Run by FA-qualified caoches, the courses give children the chance to take part in physical activities during the school break and to spend time practicing their football skills.  It also gives them to the opportunity to socialise with friends, and even interact and work together with new people from different schools or football teams.

Jake took part in a Question & Answer session with the young players, and then signed autographs for them.  After that, he helped to hand out medals and prizes to the participants that had been taking part that day.
