Experience included in U21 team

3 February 2015

Hope, Jem, Jure & Mikkel face Town

Reading have included a number of experienced players in today's U21 team for our Premier League cup semi-final at Huddersfield.

Hope Akpan, Jem Karacan, Jure Travner and Mikkel Andersen are all included alongside our promising youngsters.

Akpan has been out since November with a dislocated shoulder and he will play against the Terriers, 1pm kick off at the John Smith's Stadium.

Karacan gets more game time in the middle of the park, while Travner plays his first game since his signing was confirmed.

Andersen will be handed a chance between the sticks, having made his last first team appearance at the same ground in the FA Cup last month.

Other players with first team experience are Aaron Kuhl, Ryan Edwards and Jack Stacey plus Jake Cooper, who is 20 today.

Craig Tanner, Aaron Tshibola and Dominic Samuel are out on loan so not involved.
