Loan Round Up: Tshibola man of the match

4 February 2015

Latest away from Madejski Stadium

Aaron Tshibola continued his excellent recent spate of form this past weekend, by picking up a man of the match award in Hartlepool’s 3-2 win over Plymouth.

The 20-year-old midfielder recently turned down interest from clubs higher up the Football League to extend his loan at Victoria Park – and has continued to help the Monkey Hangers stave off the threat of relegation.

Prior to his arrival at the club, they had failed to win any of their previous eight fixtures – but since making his debut away to league leaders Wycombe Wanderers, the League Two outfit have picked up two wins and a draw from their last five fixtures. Elsewhere at the weekend, Craig Tanner again started for AFC Wimbledon – picking up a 1-1 draw away to Morecambe following on from a 2-1 home win over Accrington on his debut.

Dominic Samuel of course found the net in his first game for League One Coventry City. Read more on that here.

In the Conference South goalkeeper Stuart Moore and centre back Rob Dickie earned a clean sheet in Basingstoke Town’s convincing 4-0 win away to Boreham Wood, though a tier higher in the Conference stopper Jon Henly couldn’t prevent Welling Untied from falling to a 3-1 defeat to Chester, after the Wings were forced to play the second half with ten men.

Finally, there is an opportunity for u21s defender Dom Hyam to get some experience of men’s football – as the youngster joins Conference South side Hemel Hempstead FC for an initial one month spell. The deal is a youth loan, meaning Dom can still play in u21 games for Reading FC if required, and he will continue to train full time at Hogwood Park.
