Pearce celebrates a double century in 'The Royal'

17 February 2015

In tonight's programme...

200 league appearances, 17 different centre back partners and approaching ten years as a professional on the books of Reading Football Club. Tuesday evening's edition of 'The Royal' take a look at our number five, Alex Pearce.

The Irish international speaks to the matchday programme about his pride at pulling on the captain's armband as he celebrates reaching a double century of league appearances for the club.

"I’ve been here for a long time now and I know this club inside out," the Academy graduate tells 'The Royal'. "It’s a pleasure to be playing in a team like this, let alone to be leading them out there with the captain’s armband on, so every time I walk out of the tunnel and step onto the pitch, I just try to lead by example."

Elsewhere in our 16th issue of the season, there's a special review of the last four times Reading have made it to the Quarter Finals of the FA Cup - alongside a match report of the heartstopping game at the iPro this past weekend that booked a place in Round Six.

Naturally all the regular content is on show, including the ever popular 106 Quiz and a full lowdown on the evening's opponents Wigan Athletic.

The 84-page edition is available for £3 from our programme stalls around the ground, as well as at the Megastore, Ticket Office and online via Reading FC Direct.
