Team news: Royals unchanged

7 February 2015

Clarke sticks with side that beat Owls

Steve Clarke has named an unchanged side for this afternoon's clash at Molineux, so new signing Yakubu is handed a place on the substitutes bench. Jure Travner makes way on the bench for our new Nigerian striker.

After being involved in an under-21s win earlier in the week, club captain Jem Karacan is left out of the trip to Molineux as a precaution, but Hope Akpan is back in the squad to bolster the midfield department having recovered from a shoulder injury suffered on international duty with Nigeria back in November.

Danny Guthrie is nearing a return but doesn't feature this afternoon and Chris Gunter remains out with an ankle injury, while Anton Ferdinand is still sidelined.

Former Royals Scott Golbourne and James Henry are named on Wolves' bench today, but ex-Reading loanee Benik Afobe starts up front for the hosts.

Wolves: Kuszczak, Doherty, Batth (c), Stearman, Hause; McDonald, Evans, van La Parra, Edwards, Sako, Afobe.
Subs: Flatt, Golbourne, Ebanks-Landell, Henry, Price, Iorfa, Dicko.

Reading: Federici, Kelly, Obita, Hector, Pearce (c), Chalobah, Williams, Robson-Kanu, McCleary, Cox, Pogrebnyak.
Subs: Andersen, Cooper, Akpan, Norwood, Mackie, Blackman, Yakubu.
