17 January 2015

Great win for youngsters

Reading's u18s returned from their winter break and avenged their Youth Cup exit to Arsenal with a fantastic 2-1 win over the Gunners.

A tough 1-0 loss away from home had dumped the Royals out of the Cup in their last fixture before Christmas, but they were in impressive form on Saturday morning at Hogwood Park.

They took the lead as Harry Cardwell set up Conor Davis for the opener, before American youth international Andrija Novakovich made it two with fifteen minutes remaining

The Gunners pulled one back in the closing stages through Aaron Eyoma, but the home side held on to seal an impressive three points.
