Freeview: Exclusive videos from Saturday's draw with Boro

13 January 2015

Watch Karacan's comeback and Federici's save

Jem Karacan made his long-awaited return from injury against Middlesbrough on Saturday and supporters can watch his re-introduction on the club’s official YouTube channel.

It had been a long 16 months for the club captain, who had not featured for the first team since September 2013 when he sustained a serious knee against Leeds at the Madejski Stadium.

Having received a fantastic reception from the Reading fans when he name was read out before the weekend’s game, Karacan was called upon by Steve Clarke with five minutes to play.

He entered the pitch to an even greater ovation and immediately got stuck into a tackle; robbing Boro’s Albert Adomah of possession, which can also be seen on the free, YouTube video.

Subscribers to Reading FC Player can watch an exclusive video interview with Karacan, as he opens up about the tough times he has faced, and his visions for the future.

"It was an unbelievable feeling," he explained "It’s been a long time coming for myself, my family and everyone who has supported me over the last year and a bit.”
