Gunter a doubt for Millwall

The Royals were awaiting news on a handful of injured players after a quick turnaround between games this week.

We won 2-1 at Cardiff on Saturday, and face Millwall on Tuesday night in the SkyBet Championship.

Chris Gunter came off in south Wales with an ankle injury, and manager Steve Clarke explained after the game, "He went over on his ankle, he's got to be doubtful for Tuesday but fingers crossed it's not too long and hopefully he's OK for Saturday."

Danny Guthrie was unavailable for the match, with Steve explaining, "He picked up a little groin strain in training on Thursday, he wasn't 100%. He's a doubt for Tuesday as well, but you never know."

Jamie Mackie and Anton Ferdinand missed the game in south Wales as the Royals made it through to the last 16 of the FA Cup. Hope Akpan is still returning from a dislocated shoulder, but is back out on the training pitch.

Millwall will include former Royal Shaun Cummings in their squad, while Australian striker Scott McDonald has had his contract cancelled. Ian Holloway's men have also captured the signing of Southampton defender Jos Hooiveld on loan.
