Over 1,000 FA Cup tickets snapped upReading have requested an additional 300 tickets for next weekend’s FA Cup fourth-round tie at Cardiff City after selling over two third of their initial allocation in the first week of sale.
Around 700 seats were snapped up by fans on Monday, the first day of sale, with tickets continuing to be purchased at a steady rate for the remainder of the week.
With over 2,700 Royals backing the side in their narrow defeat to Fulham this weekend, the Cardiff game will ensure that Steve Clarke’s side are backed by a four-figured away following for successive weekends.
Earlier in the season, the Royals were beaten 2-1 at the Cardiff City Stadium but the same venue also played host as, in 2011, Reading booked their place in the Championship play-off final.
