Samuel nets four in resounding friendly win

21 January 2015

Reading 7-2 Crawley Town

Four goals from Dominic Samuel gave Reading a romping 7-2 win in a behind closed doors friendly with Crawley Town on Tuesday afternoon.

Jem Karacan got another 45 minutes under his belt as he continued his fight for match fitness, in a game that the Royals dominated from start to finish.

The home side were 4-1 up at the break; Jack Stacey opening the scoring early on before a quick fire brace from Samuel, including a tidy left footed finish from the right hand side of the box. Strike partner Craig Tanner made it four before the visitors pegged a goal back shortly before the interval.

20-year-old Samuel netted two more after half time with a pair of poacher's finishes, whilst another consolation strike from Crawley didn't prevent a Royals' trialist from finishing off a resounding victory.
