Friday's Grandchildren to lead out the teamsReading will be led out by some very special guests for Saturday's game with Sheffield Wednesday, as the the grandchildren of Robin Friday are welcomed to Madejski Stadium!
Tuesday 27th January 2015 is 41 years to the day that the iconic figure made his debut for the Biscuitmen, more than catching the eye in a 3-3 draw with Northampton.
Libby aged six and Louis aged three were recently given a guided tour of the ground and were presented with their own versions of their grandfather's iconic number nine shirt. They will both be mascots for the weekend's Sky Bet Championship clash.
Their grandmother Liza Friday said: "It's really nice. They're young enough now to understand the reasons why they're here and get the connection. It's a really nice idea, I think Robin would have been proud to see them pull on the number nine shirt."
