Goalkeeper delighted to signGoalkeeper Jonathan Bond says he joined the Club because they match his ambitions.
The 22-year-old signed a three-year deal on Saturday, and is out in Thailand with his new teammates.
Speaking to Reading FC Player HD, Jonathan said, "I'm really happy, I was really keen to join the club, I'm buzzing to be honest. It happened quickly, quietly, professionally and I'm really happy.
"In many ways it's a club that matches my ambitions. They play young players, it's not too dissimilar to Watford, good family club, good fanbase, and I'm over the moon to join."
With a number of signings in a short space of time, Jonathan joins a growing Reading squad with positive hopes for the new season.
He said, "I'm the fourth signing, the Club are showing their intent and the Premier League is where everyone wants to be. The Championship is difficult, competitive, but we've got a good squad, good players and I can already see the team spirit."
Jonathan will now compete for a place between the sticks, and is ready for the fight, commenting, "Everywhere you go there will be good competition for places. There's no way you walk into the team at any level.
"So I'm ready to fight for my spot, hopefully play a lot of games and do well for the club."
